Christmas Eve

23 Dec

Ruby Woo and I firmly believe that you should always strive to look your best. We get quite tired of seeing pretty girls looking dumpy in pajama pants (in public!) and sweats. In this age of every moment being documented by a camera and posted on Facebook for the entire world to see, spending the holidays with no make up and sweats hardly the image we want to project to the world.

Now, we understand that sometimes, a girl just wants to be comfortable. It’s totally understandable, but comfort does not have to equal sloppy. Enter one of my favorite pieces of clothing of all time–the eponymous legging. Dress them up. Dress them down. You’ll always be comfortable without looking like a messy college student.

You can look holiday appropriate without overdosing on red and green. Red is such a powerful color that not only will you look festive and classic, but also dominate all those impending family pictures. By keeping the dress and stockings understated, you can still let your quirky personality shine through with some amazing leopard flats.

Still just as pulled together, but more comfortable, this look incorporates my beloved leggings. (And, to add a little extra dash of holiday spirit, they’re velvet!) A pretty red waterfall cardigan gets a skinny belt (great for creating a figure out of these shapeless sweaters). While an overabundance of bows can seem cutesy, I think on a holiday dominated by presents with ribbons and bows (!!!!!YAY!), the parallel won’t be lost.

And, of course, Ruby Woo will go great with either these outfits. Obviously.

Thanks for reading! You're the best!
